Music superstar Davido has praised his father, billionaire businessman Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, for his ambitious plans to build Nigeria’s largest power plant. According to Adeleke, the new facility will be a significant step toward improving Nigeria’s electricity generation capacity, as he currently provides about 15% of the country’s electricity needs.
During his speech, Adeleke, a prominent entrepreneur with interests in various sectors, revealed that he had already made a substantial impact on Nigeria’s power supply. “I generate about 15% of Nigeria’s electricity requirements,” he told the audience. The power plant he is set to construct, which will be the largest in the country, is being developed in collaboration with several Chinese engineering firms. The project is expected to be completed by January 2025.
