Nigerian actress Wunmi Toriola has refused to apologize after publicly calling out popular social media chef, Tolani, also known as Chef T. The dispute began when Toriola claimed that Chef T ignored her direct message on Instagram, where she proposed a collaboration in exchange for a role in her upcoming movie. The situation quickly gained traction online, as fans and followers debated the ethics of her request and the chef’s silence. 

Toriola, known for her outspoken personality, took to social media to express her disappointment. She noted that Chef T’s failure to respond was disrespectful, given the collaborative nature of the entertainment industry. Many netizens, however, questioned whether she had any entitlement to a response, especially from a chef who typically stays out of controversy.

The situation escalated when well-known food critic Opeyemi Famakin weighed in, criticizing Toriola’s remarks about Chef T. Famakin, who often reviews Nigerian culinary figures, argued that public figures should not feel entitled to responses from others in the industry. His comments sparked a wave of reactions, with many supporting his stance, while others defended Toriola’s right to speak out.
