In a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniels, Kellyrae, the winner of a popular reality show, opened up about the overwhelming financial demands he has faced since revealing that he gifted his wife, Kassia, N55 million from his prize money. The disclosure has led to numerous requests from family and friends seeking a share of his winnings.
Kellyrae explained that, despite the substantial amount of money he won, he is not yet in a stable financial position to meet these requests. “I was receiving calls from people close to us after I said I gave Kassia N55 million and they were asking for their own share of my prize money,” he shared during the interview.
He further elaborated on the challenges he faces in managing his finances, citing the high cost of living and personal expenses as factors that have limited his ability to respond to these demands. “I will like to say to everyone, I’m not a rich man yet please,” he said. “The money is big but things are expensive. Even if it’s egg I want to buy, how many crates of eggs will I buy?”
Kellyrae urged those seeking financial help to be patient, emphasizing the need to settle down before being able to assist others. “Please allow a brother to settle,” he added, highlighting the reality of managing such a windfall while trying to get his personal finances in order.
