Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido Adeleke, has stated that his American passport holds greater value than a million dollars due to the freedom and opportunities it provides. The singer, who was born in Atlanta, Georgia, holds dual citizenship, allowing him unrestricted access to the United States.
Speaking on the significance of his U.S. passport, Davido emphasized how much he appreciates the ability to travel without restrictions. “Till date, I don’t care how much money you’ve got, that blue passport is worth more than a million dollars,” he said, referring to the U.S. passport’s global access and privileges.
The award-winning artist explained that his citizenship grants him the freedom to travel at will, something he considers invaluable. “The only thing is that I could fly anytime I wanted, like go to America every time I wanted and stuff. That was beautiful,” he remarked.
Davido also highlighted the struggles some of his team members face due to visa restrictions, contrasting it with his seamless travel experience. He noted that while his bandmates often encounter delays in obtaining visas for international tours, he is spared such challenges.
The singer recounted instances where visa issues disrupted his team’s plans, making it difficult to execute shows abroad efficiently. However, his American passport has allowed him to move freely and maintain an active global music career without bureaucratic hurdles.
