Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare has announced the postponement of the 2020 National Sports Festival scheduled to hold in Edo state.
Dare made this known via his official Twitter handle and said the reason for the postponement is the deadly coronavirus.
The minister tweeted: “Following the briefing of Mr. President from myself and the Minister of State for Health on COVID 19, Mr. President approved the immediate postponement of Edo Sports festival to a future date.”
Countries like United Kingdom and Italy are on total shutdown as the spread of the deadly disease worsens.
