Nigerian Entertainment Mourns the Loss of Producer and Actor Moses Are Korede

The Nigerian entertainment industry is in mourning following the passing of renowned producer and actor Moses Are Korede, affectionately known as Baba Gbenro. At the age of 65, the celebrated figure succumbed to a long battle with liver disease, leaving behind a significant void in the entertainment world. Korede’s colleague and friend, Oluwaseun Adejumobi, was among the first to break the news on social media. In an emotional post on Instagram, Adejumobi shared the devastating news, writing, “Heaven’s Gain Again. General Has Gone to rest.” The phrase “General” is often used as a term of endearment and respect within the entertainment community, reflecting Korede’s status and influence.

 

His passing comes as a shock to many who knew him as a pillar of the Nigerian film and music industries. Known for his unmatched work ethic and dedication to his craft, Baba Gbenro was regarded as one of the most respected producers and actors of his generation.
