The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced a series of free medical surgeries and healthcare services to commemorate the 83rd birthday of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The initiative is part of the church’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts aimed at providing essential medical care to those in need.
Pastor Adeboye, who was born on March 2, 1942, in Ifewara, Osun State, will celebrate his 83rd birthday on Sunday. In honor of this milestone, the church is rolling out a range of free medical services to benefit individuals requiring medical attention.
According to a statement released on Thursday by his son, Pastor Leke Adeboye, the initiative will cover various medical fields, including obstetrics and gynecology, general surgeries, eye surgeries, dialysis sessions, and consultations. Additionally, free reading glasses will be distributed to those in need.
“The free medical services will be executed by the Redeemer’s Health Centre (RHC),” the statement confirmed. The RHC has been instrumental in the church’s healthcare initiatives, providing quality medical services to underserved communities.
Interested individuals have been encouraged to register for the free medical services by contacting the designated phone numbers or visiting the RHC premises. The church assured that the registration process would be seamless and accessible to all.
Highlighting the church’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian services, the statement emphasized Pastor Adeboye’s dedication to improving lives through various CSR projects. “Pastor Adeboye’s commitment to giving back to society is evident in the church’s numerous CSR initiatives, which have impacted over 166 million lives and executed over 990,000 projects,” it stated.
The RCCG’s CSR programmes have made significant contributions in various sectors, including healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation. “We are committed to impacting lives across different sectors,” the church reaffirmed.
The free medical programme is one of the numerous interventions RCCG has undertaken to improve healthcare access. So far, the church has provided free medical services to over nine million people, completed 33,052 healthcare projects, and established four intensive care units in different locations.
Speaking on the importance of the initiative, RCCG stated, “Our CSR programmes are designed to provide support and care to those in need, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve.”
Over the years, RCCG has expanded its healthcare interventions to reach communities that lack access to quality medical services. The church’s efforts have included the construction of hospitals, provision of medical equipment, and organization of medical outreaches across the country.
Many beneficiaries of RCCG’s healthcare programmes have expressed gratitude for the impact on their lives. Past initiatives have provided life-saving treatments, surgeries, and medications to individuals who could not afford them.
