In a video that gained widespread attention on Monday, Seyi, a prominent figure in the political scene, addressed a group of young people in Yola, the capital of Adamawa State. During his speech, Seyi passionately defended the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has faced significant political challenges in recent months. His remarks focused on the attacks against not only the president but also his family and the general public, emphasizing his belief that the criticism was unfounded.
“It was never politics, but they keep coming for me, they keep coming for my family, they keep coming for your father, they keep coming for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the greatest president in the history of Nigeria,” Seyi stated, drawing attention to the personal nature of the ongoing attacks. His words seemed to resonate with the audience, who cheered in support, as he underscored the personal toll that political adversaries have placed on the president.
As the crowd gathered, the conversation naturally shifted to President Tinubu’s leadership and his commitment to the Nigerian people. Seyi took the opportunity to praise the president’s track record on youth empowerment and economic development. “He is the only president that has kept your people at home, from when he was governor to when he became president,” he asserted, highlighting Tinubu’s consistent focus on the welfare of Nigerian youth.
Seyi continued, asserting that President Tinubu has always prioritized youth development and economic progress. “The only president that considers youths, the only president that created a platform for young people to fly,” he said, underscoring Tinubu’s efforts in creating opportunities for younger generations to succeed. This statement reflects the president’s broader vision for a more inclusive Nigeria, one where young people are given the chance to excel and contribute to the nation’s growth.
Further defending Tinubu’s leadership, Seyi pointed to the president’s economic initiatives, claiming that he is the only leader who has established a system that benefits everyone. “The only president that created an economy that has benefitted everybody, the only president that is not trying to enrich his own pocket,” he emphasized. This remark was aimed at countering criticisms that often accuse political leaders of corruption and self-interest.
In addition to his political achievements, President Tinubu has been actively involved in charitable efforts, particularly in northern Nigeria. During his recent visits, he has been seen distributing food supplies to communities in need. His humanitarian work, especially during the month of Ramadan, has garnered praise from many Nigerians who view it as a demonstration of his commitment to improving the lives of citizens across the country.
Earlier in March, President Tinubu participated in breaking the Ramadan fast with residents in Kano, where he was joined by notable figures such as Hashimu Dugurawa, the chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the state.
