Nigerian human rights activist Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has shared a video of his meeting with a Chinese businessman he helped recover $165,000 after being defrauded. The encounter, which took place at the businessman’s warehouse, has stirred discussions about potential economic opportunities for Nigerians.
The activist had first brought attention to the case in February, using his platform to expose the fraud. His efforts led to the scammer’s capture and the implementation of a repayment plan. “You guys remember this Chinese man I posted sometime around February that got scammed off goods worth $165,000? He called me a few days ago to thank me,” VeryDarkMan wrote while sharing the video.
In appreciation of the activist’s intervention, the Chinese businessman invited him to visit his warehouse. The video, shared online, showcased the large-scale operations of the company, which initially started as a solar energy brand over a decade ago. VeryDarkMan was visibly impressed by the growth and success of the business.
During the visit, the activist emphasized the importance of creating employment and business opportunities for Nigerians. He urged the businessman to consider expanding his reach to benefit the local community. “I told him he has to give my people opportunities,” he stated in his post.
The Chinese businessman responded positively to the suggestion, acknowledging the impact of VeryDarkMan’s help. “One good turn deserves another,” he said, indicating a willingness to explore ways to support Nigerians through his business.
VeryDarkMan also hinted that the meeting could lead to something much bigger in the future. He suggested that this connection might pave the way for life-changing opportunities for many Nigerians, though he did not provide specific details. “Wait for the news,” he teased, leaving his followers in anticipation.
