The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a warning to the public about the activities of Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries, led by Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, who is using the agency’s name to deceive people.

In a statement signed by NAFDAC’s Director General, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, the agency noted that none of the products advertised and sold by the ministry are registered with NAFDAC.

“NAFDAC wishes to alert the public on the activities of a faith-based organization – Christ Mercy Land Delivery Ministries – that uses NAFDAC’s name to deceive the unsuspecting public,” the statement read.

The ministry has been advertising “Miracle Water” and “Miracle Soap” with healing claims, including claims that the soap can help women carry twins. However, when NAFDAC officials visited the ministry, they denied producing the products, despite evidence of receipts and labels bearing their logo and address.

NAFDAC has attempted to investigate the ministry, but officials have refused to cooperate, instead submitting a legal document and requesting more time to organize their documents.

The agency has given the prophet until August 29 to report to the NAFDAC office in Asaba for further investigation.
