Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkblackman, has criticized the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the agency’s alleged invitation of Nigerian entertainers DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas. According to the activist, the celebrities were summoned for allegedly abusing the naira, but he claims the EFCC officials had ulterior motives.

In a video shared online, Verydarkblackman alleged that the EFCC pressured the three entertainers to make payments to avoid being publicly prosecuted. He also displayed copies of what he claimed were invitation letters sent to the celebrities, further fueling speculation about the agency’s actions.

According to him, some EFCC officials took the celebrities to various locations, where they were allegedly extorted for sums ranging between $5,000 and $6,000 before being released. He compared their situation to that of controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, who was recently convicted for naira abuse.

The activist insisted that his allegations were based on information from sources within the EFCC. While acknowledging that EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede is a good leader, he accused lower-level officials of corrupt practices that undermine the agency’s credibility. “The chairman is trying his best, but some of his men are using EFCC to enrich themselves,” he stated.

Challenging the EFCC to take action against him if his claims were false, Verydarkblackman questioned why the agency had not gone after the Okoya boys, who were seen in a viral video engaging in similar naira abuse. “If the EFCC is truly fighting financial crimes, why have they not arrested the Okoya boys?” he asked.

Furthermore, he accused the EFCC of being even more corrupt than the Nigerian police, alleging that the agency was planning to target him for his exposés. “If given the chance, I will expose them all. They are more corrupt than the police,” he said, daring the EFCC to come after him.

Encouraging DJ Tunez, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas to share their experiences, he assured them that nothing would happen to them if they spoke out. “Speak up, nothing will happen to you. Let Nigerians know the truth,” he urged. The EFCC is yet to respond to these allegations.
