Social commentator Isaac Fayose has suggested that Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), should be appointed as the next chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Isaac, who is the sibling of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, believes that VDM’s leadership could help tackle the issue of electoral corruption and ensure that dishonest politicians do not get re-elected.

In a recent statement, Isaac Fayose argued that VDM’s appointment would be a step toward curbing the corrupt practices that have plagued Nigerian politics. He contended that the current state of affairs requires fresh leadership to restore credibility to the electoral process. “VDM’s leadership would prevent corrupt politicians from being re-elected,” Fayose said. He expressed confidence in VDM’s ability to bring much-needed change to the commission.

Fayose highlighted the prevalence of corruption in various sectors of Nigerian society, pointing to the case of Oba Joseph Oloyede, a monarch from Osun State, who is currently imprisoned in the United States for alleged fraud. He also referenced the detention of a pastor abroad, further emphasizing the widespread issue of corruption across different professions and sectors.
