Celebrity barman, Pascal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief priest has locked his comment section as Nigerians continue to rain abuses on him for endorsing Lagos State Governor for second term.
Cubana Chief priest, who is known for his lavish lifestyle and celebrity connections took to his Instagram page again to share his endorsement, but the post was met with yet another backlash from his fans.
He wrote:
“A Good Leader Is A Person Who Takes A Little More Than His Share Of The Blame And A Little Less Than His Share Of Credit. Sanwo-Olu Has This Four Essentials Of Leadership: Humility, Clarity, Courage& Accessibility. Re-elect Sanwo-Olu Our Guy, It’s Time For Finishing Touches In Lagos State Vote APC”.
In response to the criticism, Cubana Chief priest has locked his comment section on Instagram, preventing fans from expressing their opinions.
Some fans have accused him of being a hypocrite for supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, while supporting the Labour Party at the presidential level during the presidential elections.
The controversy has highlighted the growing political divide in Nigeria and the role of celebrities in endorsing political candidates.
Some fans argue that celebrities should stay neutral and not endorse any political party or candidate, while others believe that celebrities have a right to express their opinions and support their preferred candidates.
The endorsement of Cubana Chief priest comes ahead of the governorship election on Saturday, where Nigerians will be voting for new governors and state house of assembly representatives.
