Obaseki Slams Predecessor

Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has criticized his predecessor for disrespecting the people of Edo and neglecting critical issues like prostitution and women trafficking.

In a recent address, Obaseki highlighted his administration’s successes, noting, “When I took over office, our pensioners wore black on Labour Day, but today they wear white.”

As he seeks reelection on September 21, Obaseki emphasized the importance of retaining PDP control, urging supporters to mobilize for the election. His opponents include Asue Ighodalo (PDP), Monday Okpebholo (APC), and Olumide Akpata (Labour Party).

Obaseki’s strategy is clear: by criticizing his predecessor and showcasing his achievements, he aims to convince voters of his effectiveness and commitment to Edo State’s progress. With the election fast approaching, his message is simple: his leadership has brought positive change, and he is the best candidate to continue driving progress in the state.
