Bimpe Akinfolajimi is another delectable woman of substance and panache who always live to be at giving ends of generosity than at the receiving end. Saying that whatever she lays her hands on must come out with finesse and class is like stating the obvious.
Recently, the CEO of HoneyBols Event and the convener of HoneyBols Foundation empowered over five hundred widows while also giving out scholarship to ten students up to university level. The annual event that took place at the Agege Local Government premises on the 13th of October was tagged; Giving Hands Arena.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the event includes, Dr. Elisha Ideh, Jaiye Kuti, Funbi Akinyosoye, Pastor Shade Odulaja while her excellency Dr. Mrs. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, the wife of the Lagos State Governor was ably represented.
When she was asked what motivated are into it, she said “Naturally, I’m a giver and my mother was a philanthropist. When my mother died, a lot of testimonies that I got from people really encourage me to do more. And why I pick widows is because when women lose their husband, families and relatives desert them. This is the fourth edition that I am trying to give back to the widows in Lagos State. What we do here is to empower women and to make sure every woman can stand on their own while helping the younger generation to believe in themselves. We also want to help the girl child to know that, she can be a better person without selling her body. We raise fund for widows, teach them skills and give them gift items to enable them feed their families. Meanwhile, I urge the government to extend their helping towards women to make the society a better place for everyone’’ She concluded
