Bobrisky, known for his high-profile online presence and frequent controversies, was taken into custody on Sunday. The source revealed that he had been detained overnight and later transferred to the FCID for safekeeping after his arrest by immigration officials. “He is in detention at the FCID, Alagbon,” the source explained, confirming that he had not been released as of the latest updates. “He was arrested on Sunday, detained overnight, and taken to the FCID around 10 p.m. on Monday.”
The spokesperson for the FCID Lagos, Mayegun Aminat, confirmed Bobrisky’s detention in a conversation with our correspondent on Tuesday. “He is detained at FCID Alagbon. He is with us and we are to get a remand to keep him in custody today,” Aminat stated. The police spokesperson added that the investigation is still ongoing, and the proper legal procedures are being followed to determine Bobrisky’s next steps.
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) had previously issued a statement explaining the circumstances of Bobrisky’s arrest. Kenneth Udo, a spokesperson for the NIS, stated on Monday evening that Bobrisky had been intercepted at the Seme border “over an attempt to exit the country.” Udo confirmed that the NIS had acted in accordance with its mandate to secure the borders and had intercepted the individual for “interrogation and further action.” He assured the public that the service was committed to maintaining civility and professionalism during the process.
According to the NIS, Bobrisky’s case is being treated with urgency, as he is currently classified as a “person of interest” due to recent public concerns surrounding his activities. “He is undergoing interrogation and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action,” the statement explained, though it did not specify the exact nature of the investigation.

Known for his controversial and often provocative online persona, the crossdresser has frequently been at the center of debates surrounding issues of gender identity, societal norms, and the law. His sudden detention has only intensified public curiosity and speculation about the reasons behind his arrest.
