In a recent interview with Biola Bayo on Talk to B, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo courageously shared a personal story of overcoming adversity.
According to Ojo, her life’s journey began with her grandmother, who played a significant role in her upbringing. However, her family history was also marked by tragedy.
“I lost my dad to alcohol and drugs when he was just 40,” Ojo revealed.
Ojo’s story took a darker turn as she disclosed that she had been raped five times. This courageous admission aimed to raise awareness and condemn rape apologists.
“I was raped five times in my life,” Ojo stated. “I discovered we have a lot of rape apologists. I don’t care who the perpetrator is, rape is rape.”
Ojo’s conversation with Biola Bayo also explored her complex family dynamics. She spoke about growing up with her grandmother, who was of mixed Delta and Igbo heritage.
“I didn’t meet my mother until I was seven years old,” Ojo shared.
