Davido has responded angrily after a popular Instagram blog, Instablog, linked him to a kidnapping incident in Lagos. The controversy began when Instablog shared a post featuring photos of three kidnappers, including one who allegedly referred to himself as “Davido.” The kidnappers were reportedly apprehended by residents of Victory Estate in Ago Palace, Lagos State.
According to the blog, during questioning, one of the kidnappers, who identified himself as Ifeanyi from Anambra State, revealed that the group’s leader referred to himself as “Davido.” The other two suspects allegedly came from Kwara and Imo states. The post’s caption read, “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos,” a statement that quickly drew widespread attention and outrage.
Davido, not one to take the accusation lightly, re-shared the post on his Instagram account and issued a strong warning to the blog. He wrote, “One day go be one day…..continue…my karma no dey always tey,” suggesting that he would not let the defamatory post go unchallenged.
The post by Instablog insinuated that the popular artist had been involved in the criminal activity, linking him to a serious offense without any evidence. This led to public backlash, with many supporters of Davido rallying behind him, condemning the unfounded accusations.
