Caroline Hutchins Danjuma Fires Back at Critics Over Real Housewives of Lagos

Nollywood star and entrepreneur Caroline Hutchins Danjuma has hit back at critics following backlash over her conduct on the Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) reality TV show. Taking to Instagram, the actress addressed the negative comments and reactions to her portrayal on the show, encouraging her detractors to let go of their animosity.

In a defiant post, Danjuma addressed her critics head-on, saying, “To those of you that want to unfan me because I ain’t what I was in season 1. I have gotten the matches to burn the bridge. See you at dawn sugar.” Her message was a clear challenge to those who had been vocal about her changed demeanor on the show.

The actress emphasized that Real Housewives of Lagos is a reality show, not a beauty pageant or a place for overly refined behavior. “This is a reality TV show, NOT a beauty pageant or a convent/seminary. Here, we bring in the past, present, and future the way it is. I KEEP IT REAL,” she wrote. Danjuma made it clear that she is unapologetically herself, unafraid to confront anyone who crosses her.

In her post, she elaborated on her no-nonsense attitude, stating, “Energy for energy, vibes for vibes, demon for demon, Angel for Angel. You can choke on your negative feelings.” Her words reflect a tough stance against negativity, underscoring her unwillingness to tolerate disrespect or criticism without standing her ground.

Danjuma also touched on her past interactions with people, revealing her decision to stop being too accommodating. “I’ve been too nice for too long to the wrong people,” she said, hinting that her kinder side had been taken advantage of in the past. She made it clear that she would no longer play the victim and would instead focus on being true to herself.

The actress and entrepreneur further clarified her approach to social media and public interaction, saying, “I don’t sell ice cream; you love me, I love you, you hate me, you simply don’t exist to me.” She expressed a strong sense of self-worth, stating that she wouldn’t alter her behavior for the sake of pleasing others or gaining online validation.
