2027: NNPP Remain The best Option For Kwara, Not PDP Says Mashood Shittu

A Chieftain of New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP in Kwara State Alh. Mashood Shittu has said NNPP remain the best alternative in Kwara state in all the incoming elections in 2027 and not People Democratic Party, PDP.

According to him, he said with unity of purpose, the NNPP could emerge as best option for Kwara people ahead the 2027 elections

Speaking to newsmen in Ilorin on Monday in the state capital, he said NNPP is a grassroot and people oriented party that cares for all Nigerian interest and the not the comatose PDP.

Reacting to a news story of some member of the party defecting to PDP in the state, Shittu described them as inconsequential, saying they had long being expelled from the party for anti party activities including double dealings.

He noted that the expelled members are good riddance for NNPP in the State as the leadership continue to reform the party ahead of 2027 general elections and not unnecessary bickering associated with the expelled members; noting that the members of the party are united under his leadership.

Shittu stated that if Kwara pitch their tent with NNPP, the state would witness massive development as seen in Kano during the administration of the National leader, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and which is now being consolidated by his excellency, governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“I am not currently running for election but to restructure the party in line with National leader directives to all state branches, that is my major preoccupation for now, so that NNPP should be a vibrant alternative in the state.

“Those that defected, although expelled are political marchant in the state, so we are happy that we expelled them for the unity of the party. But again, no serious politician in Kwara will take them serious except a dead party like PDP”, he charge.
