Daddy Freeze Critiques Hallelujah Challenge on Instagram Live Session

Popular media personality Daddy Freeze recently sparked controversy during an Instagram live session when he reacted strongly to a viewer’s suggestion that he participate in the Hallelujah Challenge. His comments have ignited discussions about the effectiveness of such prayer events in Nigeria.

During the live stream, Freeze expressed his frustration over the viewer’s suggestion, declaring, “E no go better for anybody wey say he wan join Hallelujah challenge, e no go beta for you and Hallelujah challenge!” His remarks showcased his belief that the challenge has not produced meaningful change in the country since its inception.

The Hallelujah Challenge, initiated by gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey, has gained a massive following, with many participating in nightly prayers. However, Freeze was skeptical of its impact, questioning, “Since they’ve been challenging Hallelujah what has happened in Nigeria?” He criticized the concept, urging viewers to reconsider their participation.

In a pointed critique, Daddy Freeze accused Bassey of using the challenge to promote his personal brand. He asserted that the event is less about spirituality and more about marketing, stating, “Wetin dem dey use una build him brand!” This claim adds a layer of skepticism regarding the motives behind such popular prayer initiatives.

Freeze further warned his audience against promoting the Hallelujah Challenge on his platform. “No carry that nonsense come meet me o, just keep it away from here,” he admonished, emphasizing that he prefers to focus on providing practical life advice rather than engaging in what he perceives as futile prayer practices.

The media personality went on to promote his own teachings, suggesting that they offer a more grounded approach to life. “If you listen to Daddy Freeze, you will need to challenge the hallelujah less because I will teach you the common sense to have,” he explained. His emphasis on common sense over continuous prayer resonated with some viewers who appreciate his pragmatic approach.

In the wake of his remarks, social media has erupted with mixed reactions, with supporters applauding his candidness and critics condemning his dismissal of the Hallelujah Challenge.
