Nigerian socialite Sophia Egbueje has publicly accused award-winning singer Burna Boy of failing to fulfill a promise he allegedly made to her after an intimate encounter. The accusation surfaced in a leaked audio conversation between Sophia and a friend, where she expressed frustration over the singer’s actions.
According to Sophia, Burna Boy initially reached out to her through a club owner, intending to arrange a meeting. However, the meeting was reportedly delayed. Later, the singer personally contacted her again, and after some persuasion from her friend, Ama Reginald, she agreed to meet him.
In the audio recording, Sophia alleged that Burna Boy promised to buy her a Lamborghini in exchange for her company but failed to follow through. “Burna Boy keeps giving excuses, so I blocked him and paid for the Lamborghini myself,” she stated.
She also expressed disappointment with Ama Reginald, accusing her friend of betrayal regarding her dealings with the singer. Sophia suggested that Ama played a role in convincing her to proceed with the encounter, only for the situation to end in disappointment.
The controversy has sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users questioning the credibility of Sophia’s claims while others criticize Burna Boy for his alleged actions. Neither the singer nor his representatives have publicly responded to the allegations at the time of this report.
Burna Boy, known for his global success and outspoken personality, has often been linked to various controversies. However, this latest accusation raises questions about the personal dealings of celebrities and the promises they make in private.
