Tems Refused to Eat as Omah Lay Appear in Court

In a viral video, Temilade Openyi a.k.a Tems who was in company of  Omah Lay in Uganda for a concert was seen answering questions from the Uganda authorities who was trying to compel her to eat after several days of staying in detention without food. 

 

Nigerian artistes and entertainers are presently raising voice in support of Omah Lay who was arrested by the authorities, handcuff and remand in prison for breaking their Covid-19 rules.

Laycon, the recent winner of the Big Brother Naija TV show, award winning musicians Teni, Sound Sultan, are among those asking questions after Uganda Police charge Omah Lay, and two other Nigerians who were with him at East African country to perform at a concert.

Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay, Temilade Openyi a.k.a Tems and Muyiwa Awoniyi appear at the Magistrate court on Monday 14 December on the charge of “negligently engaging in a acts that can spread infectious diseases”.

“Wasn’t there prior publicity about the show? why wasn’t it shut down before it was held? why are you arresting some particular artists that performed? Who organised the show? ,” Laycon asked while Sound Sultan lamented saying the promoters of the show are the first to be arrested by the Uganda authorities.

 

Burna Boy, the two-time Grammy nominee also share their views.

 

Omah Lay on Monday afternoon, posted on Twitter asking why Uganda government is using his story to play politics.

 

Meanwhile, some people have called on Nigerian artistes to boycott the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) that suppose to hold in Uganda capital Kampala in few months time.

 

The singer blow for 2020 after he release back to back hit songs, one of which was “Ye ye ye” and make Apple Music name him “Godly” song one of the most played for Nigeria.
