Media personality and activist Verydarkman has ramped up his campaign against controversial singer Portable by sharing a disturbing video that has sparked significant outrage. This follows earlier footage released by Verydarkman, which allegedly depicted Portable assaulting an unidentified man at Felabration 2024. The incident has ignited demands for Portable’s arrest, with many calling for accountability for his actions.
In response to the allegations, Portable has defended himself by claiming that the man he allegedly assaulted had swindled him by running away with his money. This justification has done little to quell the backlash, as public sentiment largely favors the victim’s plight.
In a recent update, Verydarkman posted another video showing the assault victim in the hospital, revealing severe injuries. The footage depicted the man with bandages on his head, jawline, and left hand. According to Verydarkman, “Several bones in the victim’s body were broken,” and the total medical expenses have amounted to approximately N700,000. This stark portrayal of the victim’s condition has intensified calls for justice.
Verydarkman has committed to covering the victim’s hospital expenses and has plans to file a petition against Portable on the victim’s behalf. He emphasized the need for legal action, stating, “Unless if there are no laws in Nigeria, Portable has to pay for this.” His determination to seek justice reflects a broader desire to hold individuals accountable for their actions, particularly those in positions of power.
Responding to threats from Portable, Verydarkman challenged the singer, questioning if he truly understood the gravity of his actions. He wrote, “Let me send the petition on the victim’s behalf,” reinforcing his resolve to stand against oppression and abuse of power.
