Nigerian industrialist and CEO of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has pledged a whopping N1.5 billion to support victims of the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri, Borno state. During a visit to the affected areas, Dangote announced that N1 billion would be donated to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to collaborate with the Borno State government.
The Aliko Dangote Foundation will provide an additional N500 million, bringing the total donation to N1.5 billion. Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State also committed to donating relief materials to support the affected communities.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum expressed heartfelt gratitude for their generosity, praising Dangote’s consistent support for the people of Borno. The donation is expected to bring relief to thousands of people affected by the flood disaster.
