Apapa Port: HSE Committee Holds Annual Lecture And Award Ceremony

It was the gathering of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professionals as it hosted her annual lecture/award for the best and outstanding HSE compliance individuals and coporate bodies which was held at Lagos Port complex Apapa.

The theme of the program  ” economic recovery growth 2020″which was delivered by Mr julius Akpong strongly emphasized on the HSE role in the recovery economic growth.

According to the port chairman Mrs Bola olufunmi olutu also in her key note address obliged everyone to be a safety advocate in which she stated this quote “safety is the conscience of every organisation.

The award ceremony was in recognition of coporate bodies and individuals who have gone the extra mile to be not just safety professionals but also HSE complaince in their different organisations.

Mrs Bola olufunmi olutu was also recognized and awarded for her outstanding and exampliary leadership in the complex..also other categories are hydro carbon,lpg,etc

The recipients of the award are folawiyo company,double 1,ekosupport,golden sugar dangote sugar refinery,nafgas, amongst others.

ThecommentNg spoke to a recipient of the award Engr. Femi Alonge, head of safety socials and environment dangote sugar refinery who commended the initiative.

“‘Buy in especially when for leaders and company heads of all organisations in apapa sea port because it shows that once you put in proper safety in place you get a reward for it and that reward is what we are all getting here today” .
