United Kingdom based social media critic, Abike Jagaban has strongly rebuked controversial Nigerian blogger Esther Aboderin known as Esabod over her reckless utterances and verbal attacks on the revered monarch, Ooni Ogunwusi.
Esabod had recently bombarded social media with several damaging allegations and malicious information about the monarch, including involvement in illegal mining, trafficking and stealing of artefacts.
In a trending video made available by Abike Jagaban, she called out Esabod for not being a blogger but a bully, blackmailer, slanderer and an addicted defamer who was bent on threatening a good life.
Abike unleashed several unprintable and abusive words on Esabod for stooping so low to unnecessarily malign and show gross disregard for the exalted stool of the Oonirisha just to satisfy her pay masters and sponsors.
She vehemently expressed her disapproval of Esabod’s attack on the wife of the Ooni, labelling Esabod who claims to be a trado medical practitioner, a blackmailer and a big disgrace to the Yoruba race and Nigeria.
Comparing the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi to the Queen of England, Abike reiterated that she was not on the social media to act as mouthpiece of the Ooni of Ife neither does she share any bond with him, but she decided to take the bull by the horns to show support for the traditional authority and institution.
She added that as a proud daughter of the Yoruba race, she is aware that the Ooni is paramount to all monarchs in the race including the Awujale of Ijebu land, the Alake of Egbaland, the Olubadan of Ibadanland and other top Yoruba Obas. She then questioned how a sane Yoruba son or daughter could conjure and orchestrate such gross defamation and malicious slander.
Going deeper into the crux of the matter, Abike Jagaban narrated that since the creation of Ife, the town has discovered the presence of gold as a core mineral resources there and under the mining law, there is no individual that has the right to personally mine gold within a territory without the consent of the community leader who happens to be the Oba.
She stressed that gold mining in Ife land has been in existence since the days of the late Oba Adesoji Tadenikawo Aderemi and the late Oba Okunade Abiodun Sijuwade adding that gold mining did not start at the reign of Oba Ogunwusi. So it is however disheartening and unheard of that Esabod could libelously accuse Oba Ogunwusi of illegally mining in Ife land.
Abike called Esabod an evil agent who goes as far as buying up to ten thousand viewers for her social media libelous rantings, likening her social media followership to a gathering of crowd watching and mocking a lunatic.
Abike then called on Esabod to be ready for serious discipline and gnashing of teeth alongside her sponsors, and advised her and her co-conspirators to be ready to face the court of justice to tender real evidence and substantiate the wild claims against the Ooni.
According to Abike, “Esabod needs to provide evidence to corroborate these claims of hers. She must state the locations of the trafficked humans, where they are based and what they are currently doing.”
She however, spoke glowingly about the Ooni, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi who she said became a successful businessman at a young age and was a renowned real estate practitioner and a bank executive long before emerging the Arole Oodua.
Condemning Esabod as a failed parent, Abike Jagaban said: “Esabod is already reaping the fruits of her evil acts with the loss of her firstborn who died after being engrossed in drugs and later, mental disorderliness while her daughter’s husband committed suicide by hanging in Dublin, in the Republic of Ireland.
“Your son, Wale whom you claimed was working with a painting company was wayward while your daughter, Hannah, who claims to be a model ended up being impregnated prematurely. You failed as a mother and are a total disgrace to womanhood and motherhood. May all Yoruba deities punish you for disrespecting the Ooni of Ife and the traditional authority.”
