Rather than wait for the Federal Government to provide funds for the Nollywood movie industry, some states are making it a duty towards ensuring they use art and culture to promote its own.
One of such states that believes in the genuine work of art is Cross River, as the Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade, recently established a board to oversee the affairs of the art industry (Callywood) of the state.
He has appointed veteran actress, Shan George, as the Chairman of the Callywood Board. Callywood is the movie industry of Cross River which has produced great acts who are doing well both as actors and behind the scenes personnel.
