Blessing CEO Confirms Relationship with Lagos Auto Dealer IVD, Debunks Domestic Violence and Health Rumors

Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has confirmed her romantic relationship with Lagos-based auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD. In a candid Facebook Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze on Saturday morning, Blessing addressed allegations surrounding IVD’s past and firmly denied rumors that have circulated about him.

Blessing described IVD as a “gentleman” and dismissed allegations of domestic violence that had been leveled against him. “IVD is my booboo. I’ve always called him my booboo and my G,” she said. “I’ve known him for three years, and he is completely different from what the media portrays. He is one of the sweetest people I have ever known.”

The relationship therapist revealed that her bond with IVD started in a professional capacity before transitioning into romance. “I was his therapist before becoming his partner, so I understood his emotions and weaknesses before the romantic feelings developed,” she explained. Blessing further stated that she has never experienced violence from him, contradicting narratives that have circulated online.

Blessing also spoke about IVD’s demeanor, describing him as calm and reserved. “He is one of the calmest people I’ve ever met. He doesn’t talk much, and that’s what swept me off my feet. People think I’ve not been in relationships before, but I have. With IVD, he’s just different,” she said.

Addressing persistent rumors about IVD’s health, Blessing categorically denied claims that he is living with HIV. She revealed that they underwent multiple health checks together. “My booboo is not HIV positive. The very first day we met, he held my hand, and we drove to Evercare Hospital. He took me to four different hospitals for an HIV test. He is not HIV positive,” she declared.

She also dismissed allegations made by IVD’s late wife, attributing them to anger and emotional distress. “When a woman is upset, we can say anything. That [the HIV claim] was said out of anger. He is not HIV positive,” Blessing stated.

The therapist went on to praise IVD’s health and vitality, expressing excitement about their future together. “Ever since I met IVD, he barely falls sick. He is AA. With IVD, I’m excited to have kids,” she said.

Her revelations have sparked widespread reactions on social media, with some applauding her openness while others question the nature of her relationship with the controversial dealer. Despite the criticism, Blessing remains unapologetically in love.

“I think he’s an alpha male — one person who can tell me to sit, and I will,” she said during the session. Blessing recounted how IVD’s influence prompted her to change some of her behaviors, saying, “There was a day I was shaking my ass on social media, and he called me and said, ‘Booboo, I don’t want you to shake your ass on social media again.’ Normally, I would revolt, but with him, I don’t.”

Blessing also opened up about their romantic connection, calling it fulfilling. “The ‘gbenshing’ is not just good — it’s perfect,” she said, emphasizing her happiness in the relationship.

The relationship has drawn increased attention due to Blessing’s controversial past involvement in the legal case surrounding IVD and his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna. In 2023, Blessing was remanded by the Lagos State Federal High Court in connection with the case, which involved allegations of domestic violence and Bimbo’s tragic death.

Despite these challenges, Blessing remains firm in her support for IVD, describing him as misunderstood by the public. “People think they know him, but I see a side of him that is completely different,” she said.

The revelations have reignited debates online about the dynamics of their relationship, with critics questioning her decision to stand by IVD while supporters admire her loyalty. Social media platforms have been buzzing with opinions as users weigh in on the ongoing saga.

Blessing, however, seems unbothered by the backlash. She has made it clear that her love for IVD remains unshaken, saying, “I’ve found someone who understands me, and I’m not letting go.”
