American hip-hop star Cardi B has expressed outrage and vowed to take legal action after receiving an unwarranted visit from Child Protective Services (CPS) prompted by an anonymous prank call.
In a video posted on her social media page, Cardi B revealed that she was hospitalized prior to the incident. The prank caller allegedly claimed that her children were being beaten and abused at her home, prompting CPS to visit her residence at 11 pm.
Cardi B was incensed by the prank, stating, “To do a prank call with CPS to come to my gated mansion… while my kids were already sleeping at 11 pm. Are you freaking dumb?” She emphasized the seriousness of such pranks, adding, “This is where pranks start going too far, and you think this is funny?”
As a minority resident in her neighborhood, Cardi B felt the prank was particularly disturbing. “I’m the only colored and Latin person in my neighborhood… for people to pop into my house with cops and CPS because of an anonymous call involving my children?” She asserted her determination to seek justice.
“I promise, I’m going to sue Child Protective Services and the person that made the call, and I’m going to get to the bottom of this,” Cardi B declared. Her video message served as a warning to the prank caller and a demonstration of her commitment to protecting her family.
