All the private and public sector banks in India are closed on Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the every month.

Apart from the weekly offs, the banks in the country are also closed on various national and regional public holidays.

The state governments also have rights to decide specific holidays based on their regional and cultural significance.

In the month of March 2020, all private and public sector banks in India will remain closed for a total of 11 days some of which are regional holidays.
