Comedian Deeone Responds to Bobrisky’s Comments Amid Controversy Over VDM’s Donation

In a recent Instagram exchange that has sparked public debate, comedian Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, expressed frustration after cross-dresser and social media personality Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, reacted to a video posted by Deeone. The exchange began when Deeone criticized media personality Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman (VDM), over his acceptance of a generous N100 million donation from music producer Michael Ajere, aka Don Jazzy.

Deeone, who has been vocal on social media about various issues, took to his platform to express his disapproval of VDM’s acceptance of the gift, especially given the circumstances surrounding Don Jazzy’s past interactions with Bobrisky. In his video, Deeone referred to a previous incident in which Don Jazzy had given Bobrisky financial support while the cross-dresser was incarcerated. Deeone, addressing the topic, said, “It’s strange to see VDM accept this money when Don Jazzy once supported Bobrisky while he was in prison. It’s as if he’s condoning the behavior he once criticized.”

The comedian’s remarks quickly caught attention online, particularly from VDM’s supporters. Deeone further expressed his dismay, accusing VDM of hypocrisy and suggesting that the acceptance of such a donation was inappropriate. “I expected better from someone like VDM. If he criticizes Don Jazzy for supporting Bobrisky, then why accept his money now?” Deeone added in the video.

However, things took an unexpected turn when Bobrisky himself responded to Deeone’s video. The cross-dresser, known for his flamboyant and often controversial social media presence, left a laughing emoji under Deeone’s post, mocking the comedian’s attempt to criticize VDM. This comment prompted Deeone to respond again, addressing the situation head-on.

In a follow-up video, Deeone clarified that he was not involved in any conflict between VDM and Bobrisky. “I have nothing to do with Bobrisky, and I wasn’t hired to make this video against VDM,” Deeone stated, further explaining that he was aware of the ongoing feud between the two parties. Despite this, the comedian’s frustrations about the situation continued to be evident, especially regarding Bobrisky’s mocking response.

Deeone’s fans were quick to weigh in on the matter. While some supporters backed his criticism of VDM’s actions, others were less sympathetic. Many expressed disappointment at Deeone for what they considered his overly dramatic response to Bobrisky’s comment. “You’re acting like a child over this,” one follower commented. “It’s not that serious.”

In the wake of the exchange, Deeone continued to engage with his followers on social media, insisting that he had not been looking for a confrontation with Bobrisky or anyone else. However, he also stood by his opinion that VDM should have declined the donation.
