Convicted Sex Offender, Rolf Harris, Dies At 93

A convicted paedophile and disgraced former entertainer, Rolf Harris, has died at the age of 93.

According to BBC, the death of the former BBC presenter and convicted sex offender was confirmed by a registrar at Maidenhead Town Hall on Tuesday.
In a statement, the Australian’s family told the BBC, “This is to confirm that Rolf Harris recently died peacefully surrounded by family and friends and has now been laid to rest. They ask that you respect their privacy. No further comment will be made.”
The disgraced TV star had been ‘very sick’ with neck cancer since leaving prison six years ago.
Harris was convicted in 2014 on 12 counts of indecently assaulting four women and girls dating back as far as 1970, with the sentencing judge, stating the musician took advantage of the trust placed in him due to his celebrity status.
Before his crimes came became public, Harris had been a well-known and hugely popular figure in the entertainment industry in Britain and his native Australia for more than half a century.
