Despite jumping from Church to Church, Obi didn’t win – Omokri

Former presidential aide and social media influencer, Reno Omokri, has commented on the recent Nigerian presidential election, stating that Peter Obi of the Labour Party’s patronage in the Nigerian Christendom was not enough to secure the national spread needed to win the election.

Omokri, who is a supporter of Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, shared his thoughts on Twitter on Sunday.

He noted that despite Obi’s visits to various churches across the country, he was unable to garner enough votes or secure the necessary geographical spread required to emerge victorious in the presidential race.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, had enjoyed significant support from the Christian community in the run-up to the election. However, Omokri’s comments suggest that this support was not enough to guarantee success at the polls.

The former presidential aide also pointed out that despite the presence of three strong Muslim candidates, the Christian vote did not swing in Obi’s favor, indicating that the Christian bloc vote is not as influential as previously thought.
