Dino Melaye, Ododo Make INEC List Of Kogi Guber Candidates

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has released the names of candidates and parties for the November 11, 2023 Governorship election in Kogi State.

Among the candidates were Usman Ahmed Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his running mate, Suleman A. Abdullahi; Senator Dino Melaiye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a former female lawmaker from Ankpa Local Government, Habibatu Deen, as his running mate; Olayinka Braimoh of the Action Alliance (AA) and Simon Ogwu, as his running mate.

Also included in the Kogi list are the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Leke Abejide and Dauda Ismaila Onuonoza, as running mate.

Others are the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), Mubarak Musa, whose running mate is Tenimu Idris; that of the Labour Party (LP), Okeme Adejoh with Ocheja Edogbo Sunday, as running mate.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) ticket has Sheik Ibrahim Jibrin and Ajodo Damian Monday.

INEC had announced on Thursday, that it will publish the personal particulars of the candidates that will participate in the governorship elections in Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states, scheduled for November 2023.

National Commissioner and Chairman Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, in a statement, disclosed that the list of the candidates will be published in the state headquarters and local government offices on Friday.
