Melaye, known for his outspoken nature, revealed that he was approached by the supporter who, facing hardship, pleaded for money to ease his situation.
In a social media post, Melaye recounted the moment, saying that instead of offering the man cash, he decided to respond in a way that aligned with the political context. “I brought out my cheque book and wrote ‘Renewed Hope’ on it,” he said. The phrase “Renewed Hope” has become synonymous with President Tinubu’s political campaign, symbolizing his promises for a better future for Nigerians.
