Economy: NYSC is not a waste of time, Start a Small-Scale business- TESLIM IDOWU

‘THE INTENTIONAL YEAR’ Ex-corps member, Nigerian Youth Service Corp, Teslim Idowu in his unveiling book, highlighting the Hallmarks of a purposeful service year has disrupt the negative preconceived mindset among Nigerian youths that sees the scheme as a waste of time.

He discussed the practicable examples, using his inspiring story burn out of a selfless service in Maiduguri axis of the country.

According to him, Corps member can start a small-scale business after getting a productive place of primary assignment PPA in other to create financial sustainability for themselves aside what the Federal government is offering during the service year.

He said “In preparation for the future, starting a small-scale business during NYSC year will go a long way as it helps to be in dependent after the service year”.

The book explains practicable ways on how corps members can secure jobs opportunities while they are still serving.

“These and lots more are what makes this masterpiece (The Intentional Year) a necessity for every Nigerian youth as it is my biggest desires to see more enthusiasm and more productiveness among corps members across the nation, by getting this masterpiece into the hands of five thousand corps members for five consecutive years. There are no doubts to the extents to which this book could do in the transformation of the way people now sees the NYSC scheme and improvement in the economy of the Nation”.

Meanwhile, for a wider coverage, Teslim Hereby seeks the support of Government and individual to support in the mass production of the masterpiece.

“I hereby seek support in any capacity in the aspect of mass production of this book and so to bring this book to a wider coverage in order to meet the target of five thousand corps members in five years”.
