In his characteristics manner of always wanting everyone, regardless of their social or financial status to always be happy, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has yet again brought smiles to the faces of residents, staff and mosques of the council, in commemoration of the year 2022 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
It would be recalled that the council chairman had always been impactful to the people within Oshodi even before his emergence as the chairman of the local government. His philanthropic gesture was one of the attributes that endeared him to the populace.
Items distributed to the residents, regardless of their party affiliation include cows, rams, bags of rice and cash gifts among others.
The festive largesse was shared among the following people/group who either collected a cow or ram from the council chairman: Apex leaders, former/present political leaders, Council executives, Council legislators, Party LGA Executives, Party Ward Executives, APC party members, market leaders, Council management, Elders in the party, traditional rulers, mosques (comprising 13 Central mosques within the locality), APC stalwarts at the state level, NULGE and residents.
In continuation of his philanthropic and humane gesture, the following groups also collected, with appreciation, bags of rice from the beloved Council Boss: Personnel of Lagos Neighborhood Watch attached to the local government, LASIEC officials, INEC staff, Sweepers, Hunters, Market Committees, NULGE, NYSC staff, LASSA, NIN, Artisans, WAI Bridgade, Legion, CDC, Association of Dwarfs, Association of Blinds, Councillors, wards (50 packs of 5kg per ward), widows (20 packs per ward), leaders, traffic warders and residents.
Party members, residents and leaders have described the Sallah package received from the chairman as unprecedented. A widow that received rice stated that “Kendoo is a God sent to Oshodi. His approach of always reaching out to the indigents stands him out from others before him. May Allah continue to protect him and his family”.
