Federal Civil Service Commission Commences Recruitment for Various Positions

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has officially announced the commencement of its recruitment exercise for various positions within the Federal Civil Service. This move comes shortly after the commission dismissed rumors circulating about an ongoing recruitment process, reaffirming its commitment to announce the official start when the time was right. The announcement was made on Monday, with further clarification provided through a statement by the Commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Taiwo Hassan.

“Applications are now being accepted for numerous vacancies in the Federal Civil Service,” the statement read. “We urge all interested and eligible Nigerians to apply via the commission’s official recruitment portal.” The portal for the application process is available through the website: [www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng](http://www.fedcivilservice.gov.ng).

The FCSC statement highlighted that applicants are only allowed to apply for one position, urging all interested individuals to carefully review the available vacancies before submitting their applications. This measure is designed to ensure a fair and orderly recruitment process, as well as to maintain the integrity of the selection procedures.

The Commission has also provided a list of documents that applicants must upload as part of their applications. These include, but are not limited to, a Curriculum Vitae (CV), Ph.D. or Master’s Degree Certificate, Degree/HND/NCE Certificate, WAEC/NECO/NABTEB Certificate, and the NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. In addition, applicants must submit their Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, a Local Government Identification, and a recent passport photograph.

One important note made in the statement is that applicants who are physically challenged must clearly state the nature of their disability in their application forms. This move is aimed at ensuring inclusivity within the recruitment process, giving individuals with disabilities an equal opportunity to apply.

The FCSC also announced that the deadline for submitting applications is Monday, March 10, 2025. All applications must be completed and submitted before this date, as no applications will be considered after the deadline has passed.

The recruitment process is expected to provide a significant number of job opportunities across different sectors within the Federal Civil Service, catering to a broad range of qualifications and experience levels. This development is likely to be welcomed by many Nigerians, particularly those seeking stable and long-term employment in the public sector.

In his statement, Taiwo Hassan further emphasized that the FCSC’s official recruitment portal will serve as the sole medium for submitting applications. He stressed that all other sources or methods should be disregarded, and individuals should refrain from falling victim to fraudulent activities or unauthorized recruitment offers.

This announcement comes as part of the Commission’s ongoing efforts to improve transparency and fairness in the recruitment process. As such, the FCSC has worked to ensure that the entire application process can be accessed and monitored through official channels, providing a secure and trustworthy platform for all applicants.

The Federal Civil Service Commission’s recruitment exercise is set to begin shortly and will be crucial in helping the government fill critical positions across various sectors.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the official recruitment portal for more details, as the FCSC aims to conduct a fair and efficient selection process. With the recruitment exercise now officially underway, Nigerians eagerly await further updates regarding the available positions and the next steps in the process.
