“Foluke Treats Him Like Her Son”, Kayode Salako Addresses Paternity Rumors

Kayode Salako, husband of popular Nigerian actress Foluke Daramola, has publicly addressed recent reports claiming he fathered a child with another woman. The child, named Murewa, was born to Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako. In a candid Facebook post, Salako clarified that his wife was fully aware and supportive of his decision to have a child outside their marriage, emphasizing their long-standing relationship.

Salako explained that he and Daramola have been married for over 13 years but have no biological children together. He revealed that his previous children, now adults, live abroad with their mother. “It took me 3 years of begging Foluke Daramola-Salako, my wife, to allow me have at least one, or two children here in Nigeria, for the security of my old age, since I am not impotent,” he stated. He expressed his desire for companionship in his later years, stating, “I am already above 50, and I don’t want to be 70 years, and still continue to live alone, without children around me.”

The post further highlighted the supportive dynamic within their family, revealing that Daramola treats Murewa as her own child. Salako noted, “Foluke treats him like her son. Foluke and Funke are doing well together as bosom sisters.” He reiterated the understanding between the families, stating, “Murewa Omowonuola (Ayinde) Salako is the product of that understanding.”

Salako’s remarks come in the wake of social media speculation regarding the state of his marriage to Daramola, with rumors of a possible separation surfacing in 2021. However, the actress previously dismissed these claims, asserting that they remain close and continue to share a life together.
