Box office record breaking actress Funke Akindele has shared a deep quote online, hours after her estranged husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, otherwise known as JJC Skillz’s baby mama, Mella, reacted to her success.
Funke Akindele, who had been sharing deep quotes on her social media pages for some time now, spoke about taking ones eyes off the prize.
The mother of two, twin boys said barriers are the things visible when the focus has been shifted from the prize.
She wrote, “Barriers are things you see when you take your eyes off the prize. – Funke Akindele.”
Funke Akindele’s quotes came a few hours after Mella reacted to her success at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA.

Funke Akindele was nominated in 9 categories of the prestigious awards for her gross-breaking Nollywood movie, Battle on Buka Street, while one was for her series on Africa Magic, My Siblings & I.
Mella shared a post on her Instagram story where she claimed she had chosen herself and is bored by Funke Akindele and her ex, JJC Skillz.
She wrote, “There comes a time in your life when you have to choose yourself! Why is Nigeria still watching me? I’ve nothing to say about those people. They bore me.”
