How My Math Teacher Predicted I’ll Be Signed To Mavins Record

Popular Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, aka Ayra Starr, has stated that while in secondary school, her mathematics teacher predicted she was going to be signed to Marvin Records owned by Michael Ajereh, also known as Don Jazzy.

She made this known while speaking during the recent edition of ‘Afrobeats Intelligence’ with Joey Akan.

The singer added that her teacher inspired her to pursue her music ambition, encouraging her to share her videos online for people to watch.

“I had a teacher that literally inspired me. He said I was going to be signed to Marvin. It’s crazy. I was 14 then, and he said, ‘Marvin is going to sign you. Start making videos’.

“He would just inspire me. He was even a Muslim, but he would tell me to go to church and join the choir. He was my math teacher,” the singer said.
