Nollywood actress, Bolaji Ogunmola has spoken out against the growing issue of content theft on platforms like YouTube and other social media networks. During the promotion of her latest film, Stare Selo Castle, on Instagram, Ogunmola took the opportunity to address individuals involved in stealing content and violating copyrights, emphasizing the financial and personal impact it has had on her work.

 

In a passionate post on her Instagram, Ogunmola highlighted the significant amount of resources she has dedicated to producing high-quality content, only to see her efforts undermined by thieves who illegally use her material. “The amount of money spent on these contents, you have no idea,” she wrote, underscoring the extensive investment behind her projects. She expressed frustration with the setbacks she has faced due to the actions of those stealing her work.

 

Ogunmola’s remarks were directed at individuals who illegally use her content, particularly the practice of stealing thumbnails and videos. She was blunt in her approach, warning those responsible for these violations that she is prepared to take action. “To all the thumbnail stealers and content stealers, especially on YouTube. I am ready for you people on this particular project,” she stated, signaling her intent to defend her creative work.

The actress conveyed her dissatisfaction with the recurring issue of content theft, which has posed challenges to her career and business. Ogunmola’s post also included a promise to take serious measures to protect her intellectual property. “Not this time; I will drag you, people, call you out, and order takedown,” she wrote, indicating that she is ready to publicly expose and legally challenge anyone involved in content theft.
