I spent N52m on ‘Like’ ft. Davido, Kizz Daniel —Iyanya
Nigerian singer Onoyom Mbuk popularly called Iyanya has claimed he spent N52m on the visuals and promotion of his 2022 hit track ‘Like’, which featured Davido and Kizz Daniel.
He made this known while commenting on an Instagram post made by media personality, Adesope Olajide, on Monday.
Adesope had shared a screenshot of a previous post by ‘Kukere’ master admitting the promotion of music had become really expensive and urging individuals to be thankful to God when their songs suddenly go viral without promotion.
“Promoting music has become very expensive. If you are lucky to get a song, go viral, make you thank God,” Iyanya said.
Adesope also noted that, “Nothing can be truer than these words….. I’m just glad my brother @iyanya getting his dues once again 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿”
Reacting to the post in the comment section, Iyanya wrote,”The cheapest I have spent on a song since January 2021 is N27m.
“When I dropped ‘LIKE’ FT Davido and kizz Daniel, we spent N52million on song, video, and promotion.
“This should not discourage any up-and-coming artiste. You can do it. All you need is consistency.”
