Nigerian singer Jaywon has responded to rapper Odumodu Blvck, who recently mocked his hit song “This Year” during an interview with Hip TV. The singer took to Twitter to address Odumodu’s comments, accusing the rapper of using his name for clout.
Jaywon expressed his frustration with Odumodu’s repeated mentions of him in interviews. “Odumodu will always mention my name in his interviews because that’s the only way he stays relevant,” Jaywon tweeted, suggesting that the rapper’s career benefits from referencing him.
The singer clarified that his earlier remarks about Odumodu were not intended to provoke conflict but were simply an honest assessment. “When I said he’s not all that, it wasn’t beef—it was just facts,” Jaywon stated, emphasizing that his opinion was not meant to ignite controversy.
In his Twitter posts, Jaywon also advised Odumodu to focus on his own career rather than engaging in public spats. “He should concentrate on himself instead of constantly referencing me,” Jaywon wrote, signaling his disinterest in escalating the feud.
