Lord’s Chosen Church Leader Warns VDM to Desist from Criticism

The General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Lazarus Muoka, has issued a stern warning to social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to cease speaking ill of his church.

Muoka’s warning comes after VeryDarkMan criticized the church over viral testimonies shared by its members, which he deemed exaggerated and misleading. In a video address to his congregation, Muoka stated, “VeryDarkMan is learning something today in a hard way.”

The controversy began when church members shared testimonies of miraculous interventions, including surviving kidnappings and armed robberies. VeryDarkMan called on the Christian Association of Nigeria to investigate, accusing the church of misleading Christians.

In response, Muoka said, “Somebody came to talk to me and said ‘Pastor, do you see this man that is talking against us?… I said no, Chosen will not learn something the hard way, and that he is the one who will learn something the hard way.”

Muoka emphasized that he did not speak evil of VeryDarkMan but merely stated a fact. “I didn’t say that in order to punish him, I only said what he said. If God’s anointed gets angry with you, you are finished.”

VeryDarkMan has been involved in other high-profile controversies, including with Bobrisky, Falz, Femi Falana, EFCC officials, and NCoS officials.

Muoka’s warning has sparked debate on social media, with some defending the church’s right to share testimonies and others supporting VeryDarkMan’s calls for accountability.
