Abosede Aloba, the grieving mother of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has raised alarm over the alleged abduction of her younger son, Adura. This new concern has sent shockwaves through the public as she claims that her son was forcibly taken by armed men outside a Lagos court on Wednesday. The situation has sparked widespread fears for the safety of her son, who was reportedly abducted under suspicious circumstances.
Adura’s disappearance occurred shortly after he left the Magistrates’ Court in Ogba, Lagos, where he had attended proceedings related to a legal dispute over the sale of a phone. This case reportedly involved a confrontation with Damola Ayinde, actor Yomi Fabiyi, and other individuals. What was expected to be a routine court matter quickly escalated into a distressing ordeal, as Adura was taken by individuals suspected to be police officers.
Eyewitnesses at the scene confirmed that Adura was seized by the unidentified men in a dramatic and forceful manner. It is still unclear why he was targeted or why the authorities did not step in to prevent the abduction. Reports suggest that Adura was in a fragile state of health when he was taken, adding to the concerns raised by his mother, who is already mourning the loss of her older son, Mohbad.
A viral video has surfaced, capturing Abosede Aloba’s heart-wrenching plea for help. In the video, she is seen crying uncontrollably, her voice filled with panic and distress. Speaking in Yoruba, she begged the public to intervene, saying, “Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They’ve taken my son, and I don’t know where they’re taking him. My son did nothing to them.”
Her emotional plea continued with a direct call to action: “They must not lay a hand on my son. They must not beat him—he is sick.” Abosede further accused Yomi Fabiyi and another individual, Sam Jojo, of orchestrating the abduction, intensifying the accusations against those involved in her son’s case. She expressed her fear that the situation could escalate further, especially given her son’s reported poor health at the time.
Abosede’s anguish was compounded by her belief that the matter had already been addressed legally. “The real culprit has already confessed. They’ve been begging me since morning, but I told them the matter is already in court,” she explained, reinforcing her claim that the situation should have been resolved through proper legal channels. She also voiced concern over the emotional toll this is taking on her family, particularly in the wake of Mohbad’s death.
In the video, Abosede spoke directly to those she believes are responsible for her son’s ordeal, stating, “Demola, you’ve put me in trouble. Mohbad’s spirit will fight you.” These words, laden with emotional pain, suggest the depth of her frustration with the ongoing situation and the involvement of those she blames for the troubles facing her family.
