The mother of late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, appealed for a family-led resolution to the circumstances surrounding her son’s death. Abosode made this plea at the Lagos Coroner’s Court, where she attended the ongoing inquest into Mohbad’s 2023 death.
She urged the government to step back, saying, “Let us settle this case… What I want is for them to go to church and mosque to pray for him.” Abosode expressed frustration with the government’s handling of the case, stating, “Everything people are doing does not make sense. They did not make us happy.”
Mohbad’s death remains controversial, with disputed claims about toxicology tests and fans demanding justice for his alleged killers.
