Comedian and social media influencer Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, better known as Mr. Jollof, has filed a lawsuit against activist Vincent Oitse, commonly referred to as Verydarkman (VDM). This legal action follows a series of public accusations made by VDM regarding Mr. Jollof’s qualifications for his role as Senior Special Adviser to the governor.
VDM has openly questioned Mr. Jollof’s credentials, suggesting that his wife may have “slept her way” into the position. This inflammatory remark has generated considerable controversy online, leading to a heated debate among social media users regarding the implications of such claims.
In response to the allegations, Mr. Jollof issued a 30-day ultimatum for VDM to appear in court to substantiate his claims. He took to social media to share the writ of summons, which outlines the accusations over four pages, making it clear that he intends to seek legal redress for what he perceives as defamation.
VDM, unfazed by the lawsuit, responded with mockery, calling Mr. Jollof “mumu” in a bid to undermine the seriousness of the situation. His reaction has further fueled the online discussion, with followers on both sides weighing in on the escalating feud.
As the legal battle unfolds, public opinion remains divided. Many social media users are expressing support for Mr. Jollof, while others side with VDM, showcasing the contentious nature of the dispute and the broader implications of public figures engaging in legal confrontations.
