Nkechi Blessing Sunday cries out after losing N750,000 to online scam

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has disclosed that she was a victim of an online scam that cost her N750,000.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, the actress recounted how she was duped by an online vendor she had contacted for some items she needed.

Sunday explained that she had purchased some of her furniture online and needed some additional items.

She then came across an online vendor who had made a sponsored advert. She contacted the seller who sent her an account number, claiming it was the distributor’s bank details.

Despite expressing her concerns to the vendor, Sunday went ahead to transfer N750,000 to the seller.

The actress stated that she kept following up with the person, who continued to claim that they had not received the money.

However, a few days later, Sunday found out that the seller had blocked her on all their platforms.

In the video, Sunday expressed her disappointment and urged her followers to be wary of online vendors, especially those with sponsored adverts. She also vowed to rain curses on the person until they search for her and refund her money.

Online scams have become a prevalent issue in recent times, with many unsuspecting victims falling prey to fraudsters.

These scams take various forms, including phishing, identity theft, and fake online stores. As such, it is crucial to exercise caution when dealing with online vendors and to verify the authenticity of the seller before making any payments.

Experts advise that buyers should conduct thorough research on the seller and check for reviews or complaints from previous customers.

It is also important to use secure payment methods and avoid sharing personal information or bank details with unknown persons.
